Although this product shreds well. It's very quiet and I like it. In an ideal world, I'd be happier if the light came on when I turned on the car, but it doesn't (I find that a bit odd). Over the years I have had several paper shredders for my small business. Everyone was "OK" but this chopper is outstanding. The safety feature is impressive - fingers approach the hole, it stops but continues very quickly when you remove your hand.
