Felting Fashion: Couture projects from clothing to accessories

There are relatively few books on felting on the market unless you are looking for school and children's projects. The online description of this book was a good guide as it implied that the book contained many ideas for felting projects. Many of the special craft objects are quite whimsical, but the point is that the book offers a large number of felting techniques and a good explanation of felting techniques. amazing book. If anyone wants good felting techniques this is an amazing book too.

Great for your coffee table, not your studio

I didn't like this book although I love Gile's work, especially the large geometric cover (in the cape shape seen on her blog) and the floral scarves. It depends on the procedures. Giles shows you how to form garment felt while hanging from a mannequin. I may not be adventurous, but I don't see myself as noticeable. But it's interesting to see how Giles does it. Also, I don't like the haute couture aspect. I can stitch and sew pieces together when making clothes, but I prefer felting and make…

Great resource section!

Of all the books I've recently bought on the art of felting, none apart from this one gave specific information about the material wool. Jenn Giles' book has a wonderful materials section that I found very informative. Especially in terms of why some types of wool might not be suitable for different projects etc. Jenne explains how each type of wool behaves and how it interacts with other materials you might want to use in your work like special wool, silk. fibers and plant fibers.
