I decided to upgrade my Dell XPS 8500 to a RX 580 8GB big card which required an 8 pin PCI-E power cable, my standard PSU only had 2 6pins, the adapters worked as intended and still had no issues after a month of use (Don't forget to update the BIOS to install a new GFX card, this is not power)

The computer's graphics card is defective and needs to be replaced. Installed a much more powerful card only to be spotted. Contacts do not match power supply. Used this adapter to install a new 1060 Super card in my old Dell XPS 8500. The power supply in my Dell only had 2-6 pin outputs and newer card graphics require an 8 pin power input. So far it's been "set and forget", so no complaints.
