They are NOT dishwasher safe! I received my order yesterday and sent it quickly for washing. As described, they kept their shape, however, the finish and overall functionality of the product has completely deteriorated. They are very rough and almost sticky. Now you might think I'm using a different detergent. Not me! I use Cascade Platinum capsules and rinse aid in a new dishwasher. All my stainless steel plates, bowls, cups and pans keep their shape perfectly. They couldn't have looked better

The comb is made of stainless steel, but the metal teeth are not ground for smooth, rounded contours. edges on the teeth. And the teeth are not graded from small gaps at one end to large gaps at the other, as is usual. The teeth are different sizes, but there is too much space between them. You don't get a thinner brushed finish with smaller gaps.

So I have very thick and curly hair that I comb back like a car salesman. Combs are constantly smeared with lipstick or wax, teeth are broken or bent, hair is pulled. After using this I can't imagine buying anything else. It practically glides through my hair, I can carry it in my bag without fear of it breaking, and it doesn't irritate my scalp. I love this comb because I REALLY hate static electricity in my hair. Of course I have several plastic combs and my wet/dry brush is plastic: a huge problem in the right weather, but just comb through with this comb and it no longer sticks to my face and bothers me.
