Not the same as Winix filters

This filter is different from the OEM filter set. The OEM has a recess in the HEPA filter for installing an activated carbon filter. This HEPA filter is full depth and the carbon filter needs to be broken between it and the pre-filter. Also the air flow is not the same with this filter. The fan seems to be struggling to keep the air flowing.

Size does not exactly match the original Winix compatible filter A 115115

Size does not match the original Winix compatible filter A 115115 exactly. The Hepa filter is slightly smaller (1/6 inch narrower) than the original and the Carbon pre-filter is slightly larger. So it was a little cumbersome to install in my Winix air purifier. Not sure if the filter performance was really compromised due to the size difference.

Replacement filters available

I have had two Winix air purifiers for about a year with no filter maintenance. 5300-2 and 5500-2. I wasn't expecting so much dust, which I found upon opening the 5500-2 running 24/7 in automatic mode. I wanted an inexpensive filter that would fit both of my models. This filter will work on both models, although the 5500-2 is not listed as compatible and the charcoal filter is different. I will buy this filter again.

12 1/2 inches wide x 16 1/4 inches high - leave gaps!

The original Winix A 115115 True HEPA filter measures 12 5/8 inches wide, 16 5/16 inches high and 1 1/4 inches thick and fits snugly in the alcove. Measures 12 1/2" wide, 16 1/4" tall and 1 1/4" thick leaving a 1/8" wide gap at the side and a 1/16" wide gap at the top. Also the included activated carbon pre-filter is too big to fit in the raised rim of the HEPA filter I have to make spacers out of the packaging to prevent air from escaping through the chinks and dust from building up in the fan

Works well for my Winix C535s and my Sanyo ABC-VM24A filter with mods

Bought this filter before for my WInix filters. However, I also have a Sanyo ABC-VM24A filter that still works well, but it is difficult to find an OEM filter replacement for this model and I would rather not buy generic filters from overseas. This particular filter fits my C535 like a glove but is slightly wider than the Sanyo OEM filters. I had to cut an inch of HEPA and carbon filters on both to fit the Sanyo case. Good filter but do not order for Winix 9500

The filter arrived quickly and in good condition. However, the ad says it will fit the Winix 9500. After re-reading the description I should have realized that you have to remove the plastic housing of the filter in order for it to fit. This removes the foam seal around the filter, allowing some air to bypass, and also eliminates the need for a charcoal filter.
