I like that it detects the temperature of the house very accurately. The only thing I don't like is the lack of instructions on how to operate the T1/T2 button. Need more detailed instructions, otherwise it works great.

Good tool for measuring AC temperature in an AC duct. I just stick it in the duct and it measures the temperature of the air. If there was something on the dipstick to keep it from slipping it would be better. But overall it serves its purpose.

This is the same probe thermometer that many HVAC professionals use to measure duct temperature, for example to determine temperature drops across a cooling coil. It works well and is pleasant to use. I haven't tested it against a formal standard, but it appears to be accurate, or at least gives comparable readings to what the HVAC techs in my house are getting.

Any HVAC technician will tell you that this is probably the most lost and replaced tool in their bag. I only ordered online because it was €7 cheaper than at the dealer. He came, worked for a day and then sucked. Gave me an LLL error code. I can't return it as I threw away the original packaging. Moral of the story, buy your tools from a real store. The HVAC dealer takes it back unpackaged.

After losing my miniature thermometer, I grab one of these collapsible Fieldpiece blocks. Working in HVAC, this is the best I've come across. I grabbed two more of these for a quick and easy way of measuring the baseplate temperature. Much less walking around between zones waiting for the thermometer to warm up in each of them.
