Apparently a good system

I haven't installed the antenna yet so can't comment on reception. I plan to put the antenna on the rotor later. It appears to be a solid unit but the instructions were a bit difficult to read due to the size of the paper they were written on.

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • Operating speed

Good antenna until it rains

In dry weather this is a great antenna, almost perfect for 2 meters. As soon as it rains, the SWR gets high and won't hold a match until it dries, replacing it with another antenna. I use this as a competition antenna. As long as it stays dry

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Compatibility

Antenna 2 meters works!

I used a magnetic mount on the antenna tray. I hit Repeater, but prickly. This antenna solved that problem. It's about 4 feet tall, so it shouldn't be installed indoors. Maybe in the attic, but better on the street. At the moment I'm running on low power and completely disconnected from our local repeaters. Haven't used it on a simplex yet.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Blank

Check out the radio antennas

I have several antennas in my car and I usually use a Larsen nmo150c but I needed another 2m antenna to test. I took a hacksaw and cut and cut and cut and cut about 3 inches of Firestik. then I realized I was measuring the Larsen antenna that was still connected to the radio and SWR meter. I forgot to connect Firestik! I knew I cut off too much so I added a sturdy 4 inch spring and was happy to accidentally get an SWR below 1.3:1 which is great.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Obsolete

This antenna withstood a straight wind with a speed of 75 m/h.

If that headline isn't enough to impress you and click the help button below, then maybe, given the fact that I only used the original metal fence post fasteners, then perhaps get more I was not only impressed by this review but also by the product itself! I've had several antennas over the years and this one outperforms my magnetic mount antennas that fall off the ground at speeds below 70mph.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Great antenna, I am currently using it 10ft above my .

Great antenna, currently using it 10ft above my house and working in simplex mode for 40 miles and not quite in line of sight. I'm happy with it and plan on picking it another 10 feet tall. The only issue was that one of the radials didn't line up with the screw holes, which other reviews seem to indicate is a common problem; I could have sent it back but I just got the drill out and the problem was solved! The antenna works damn well and I can say it will last a very long time, thanksโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Unchanged test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Great antenna! See accessories and consumables

Easy assembly. Took less than 5 minutes. Mount it on a 24ft single pole and instantly hit repeaters over 40 miles away. I checked the SWR and it was 1.1 to 1.3 across the range. UPDATE: I've been using it for a few days now and can't get enough of it. It's easy to hit a repeater over 100 miles at 25 watts, which is the bare minimum for my home radio. Out of curiosity, I hooked it up to an older Kenwood HT 4-watt antenna and hooked up repeaters over 40 miles away. UPDATE #2: I've been using this

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
