Broke after 3 years

Not sure what caused my wire to break but I replaced this wire with another make and my radio is working again. Maybe it was rust at the end of the cable or heat outside the car.

Pros
  • Trial for 1 year
Cons
  • Expensive

Good luck! for antennas

Excellent cable! Managed to tune the antenna correctly! UPDATE: Bought another one for my wife's car but the contacts were broken. If I move the cable I get a signal, otherwise I don't hear anything. My advice: check your cables BEFORE you route/install them!

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Don't know

Easy to set up with Firestik

Hooked up my CB radio and antenna. The UHF connector might come in handy and make it easier to run cables through my Jeep Wrangler. Easily configurable in connection with firestik. If you can't get used to it. It's most likely your mount. Rub the contacts

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad

Easy installation, great price!

Bought this cable for my 2012 JKU. I installed it with a Procomm Jeep Spare Tire CB Antenna Mount, a Firestik SS-3H Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Antenna Spring, a FireStik 5ft II TUNABLE TIP BLACK and a Firestik K4R HEAVY-DUTY STUD MOUNT. Routing the cable was VERY easy as the plug could be removed and plugged back in after going through the interior. I mounted my CB on a Molle hanging stand and the length was enough for me.

Pros
  • Good build quality
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Connector came off cable due to poor crimping

I've been working on the cable routing for over an hour. I set it to 80% and then pulled it under the car mat and the crimp connector came loose. All I can say is that the connector came loose with so little effort. This would likely be the cause of the random signal and SWR issues. Really bad quality control. Of course I can buy a new connector and crimping tool to fix it. But that is not the point. The thing is, it should be a plug and play install. a bit now I'm repairing/building a cable…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Good but not great
