Firestik CB strong - AV accessories

Strong spring for my CB antenna. Helps prevent low hanging branches from damaging my antenna. Highly recommended.

Very Durable: Accessories and Consumables

Works seamlessly with Firestik Magnetic Mount and Firestik Antennas. It (and the antenna) tends to add a bit of extra wind noise, which I'm not used to, but it's not loud and shouldn't interfere with what you're hearing from your CB.

Pros
  • Accessories and Consumables
Cons
  • Outdated

Good deal but you need to ground the antenna.

good deal but you need to ground the antenna because I had to, the SWR wasn't good until I did. The product is very sturdy, I deal with a lot of trees when I go to delivery, so the trees are not fun, so they help a lot.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Useless functions

Works well, depending on the antenna connected.

I attached them to a 2ft Fire-Stik on a Class 8 truck mirror. There's a bit of movement at highway speeds, but it doesn't rock. More like wobble. It would probably handle a 3ft firestick, but I don't know about longer ones. I tried the same antenna in "medium mode", the spring didn't have enough stiffness for the fireworks - the antenna dangled at highway speeds. I've attached a medium-strength spring to a lighter, two-foot smaller antenna on the other side of the truck and all is fine.
