It's as useful as a homemade jewel

So there's this indicator light that seems to come on when the battery is low. Excellent. But what if the light shows it's even on? You have ZERO indication that it's on since it's silent. I didn't do anything to all three dogs. Can be defective. But how am I supposed to know if the dogs can't tell me?! This is a waste of money and they will be back!

I am very disappointed in this

I am very disappointed in this. Within a week of receiving it was working great. I let my dog respond and stop barking. Then everything stopped working immediately. It still makes a noise, but not the same noise as before. I thought it was the batteries, new ones in. Nothing has changed. My dogs now don't react at all to that little noise he makes. Very disappointed!

Dog doesn't care about collars

I have a Pomeranian and it's basically synonymous with a little barking machine. Whether it's a shadow, a gust of wind, or a sudden thought that surprises him, he will bark. Thrilled by the positive reviews, I bought it hoping to alleviate my dog's intolerable genetic makeup. I checked and my sister's dog flinched in fear and left the room, leaving me hopeful. But alas, my devil dog doesn't even flinch. We went for a walk and he met a strange beagle and immediately let the world know I have a…

Compatible with parrots!

Oh My God I Have Six Year Old Barking Dogs! Nothing succeeded! No citronella spray, no sonic device, no tranquilizer collar, nothing. Saw good reviews and tried Sonic again. For the first time in 6 years I had obedient, calm dogs! I try other road sound devices because one is not like the other. Big plus: calibrated to the hearing of dogs! NO WORRY PARTS OR CATS! As the desk owner, I really don't want to scare the birds. Don't flinch! Definitely recommend it over other brands and start teaching

Works best for our collared dogs

While it is true that this device does not work for ALL dogs, it works well for our two dogs as well as a few neighborhood dogs. A very large neighbor's dog seems to care less about her. But to be honest for the money it's worth a try. We love it. We use it to stop incessant barking, barking at inappropriate times (e.g. when the newspaper is brought early in the morning) and when walking when the barking gets out of control. It costs money. We have several of these and we keep the device nearby

Works for 80% of dogs when used properly and consistently!

I am a canine behavior assessor at a Humane Society animal shelter. We ordered a Bark Genie to help a foster parent with a dog who was having a barking problem and out of curiosity we ordered a second to use in our adoption kennels. 40+ dogs that were usually ridiculously noisy and I swore this device was a real find. However, after further experimentation, it turned out that without constant application and incorporation of the basic concepts of training, it does not work. You can't just point
