FIRST HILL FHW Topstitched Upholstered Review

I just put it together and the ottoman sits in my office waiting for tired feet to rest on it. It's strong and heavy enough to stay in place but light enough to move around my space with ease. It has a simple mid-century style and goes well with my eclectic decorating style.

The item came without the required screws, Allen key and lock washers. The screws would not go through the pre-drilled holes, and even if they did, they would be extremely difficult to tighten. Others have mentioned similar issues in other reviews, but I decided to take a chance. Guilty.

Very nice ottoman. Assembly was easy: insert the solid wood legs into the appropriate slots and secure with screws (2 screws per leg). A short washer and a few extra separate washers came with the fasteners, but otherwise no problem. After assembling it, I flipped it over and was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Durable, attractive, with comfortable lining and soft fabric. Very good! highlighted.

I love this faux leather ottoman from First Hill. It looks great and is easy to clean. Attaching the legs was easy. It feels solid whether you sit on it or lean your feet on it. The dark brown faux leather looks very nice and complements my decor very well. In addition, it is lightweight so it can be easily lifted or moved. The top cushion isn't very firm so I wouldn't recommend sitting on it for long periods of time, but it's a minor issue. I think it can work as a small coffee table if you…

We made it, but as others have pointed out, there are quality control issues. It's a mixed bag, everyone faces something different. My ottoman had a short in a small amount of appliances. The two large washers were not included. While this doesn't seem like a big deal, the way the holes are drilled means you can't attach the legs without large washers. Luckily we still had a few in the garage. Also, many of the holes in the legs weren't drilled properly. So I had to push them all the way out. I

I am NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED with the quality of this stool. I wouldn't pay 50 for it let alone more. Maybe 20 on a good day... but no, actually I wouldn't. The problems started after I unpacked all the parts and took the legs out of the box. 1. The holes in the legs are not fully drilled. I had to chop off the remaining wood.2. The bottom of the stool where you attach the legs is a splinter. Now I understand that this part is not visible later, so why bother to finish the wood properly…
