I don't know how long the embellishments/tape on these headbands will last but so far they are a delight for a 5 year old. These cute and comfy headbands. The tips have a transparent silicone protection so they don't scratch your head. The straps have small "teeth" at the top to keep them in place. Ribbons and details with sequins are evenly glued. There is a good selection of stars, hearts and butterflies in a variety of colors to suit different outfits. The sequins don't "flip" but sparkle and look really cute.

Each hair tie is decorated with sequin stars, butterflies, etc. The hair ties are made of plastic with short bristles to ensure they stay in the hair. They also have a protective plastic cap on the ends to prevent them from piercing the scalp. They are both practical and charming.

It's cute. They easily hold the long, thick hair of an almost five-year-old child. The embellishments on the straps don't feel strong and I have a feeling they will come off if not handled with care. But the rest is nice.

I received the rainbow pack of 6 headbands and I am not a bit disappointed. They work well for my almost 12 year old. They're girly and fun, but not too young for them. She was very happy about it.
