Great MTB shoe but could do with a little more soul.

I bought these for a week long mountain bike trip to Moab and they worked REALLY well. Highly recommended for everything to do with MTB. They fit great and all and have taken a lot of beating on the Whole Enchilada trail but have held up great and show minimal signs of wear. The biggest stain on them is from chain lube, but that's my fault. My only complaint is that walking wise they could have used a better shoe core to have more cushioning, otherwise they work great.

    Pros
    • For women, consider going up a half or even a full size depending on the thickness of your socks.
    Cons
    • Everything is fine with my shoes!

    Great product good for me

Very comfortable, and most importantly, when I used them, the pain in my legs completely disappeared due to the rigidity of the sole compared to normal tennis shoes. They are of very good quality and comfortable, and because of their rigidity they give a feeling of great security. Very happy with them.

    Pros
    • Very durable
    Cons
    • Has a limited range of colors

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

They don't have the grip of my old ones.

This is my second pair of 5 dozen. The soles don't stick to the pedals like my old pair did. I don't know what has changed, but I like my old pair better.

    Pros
    • Great shoe, comfortable and holds the pedals well.
    Cons
    • Limited availability in some regions

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

    too flexible sole

Great color and looks. The outsole does not provide a stiff enough sole for kicking and standing on the pedals. If you like more flexibility in shoes, this shoe is for you.

    Pros
    • Ideal for flat pedal rides
    Cons
    • Size may not match.

Good shoes overall - my new review

I love the look of these shoes and the eco-friendly materials they are made from. The shoes have a lot of padding to protect the feet. The outsole is well suited for platform pedals. They're a little roomy inside, but my foot might be a bit narrower than some. It makes my feet float a little more in them than in other shoes, but that's not important. The shoes are also great for everyday wear.

    Pros
    • Haven't used it yet, custom MTB will most likely have to wait until spring
    Cons
    • No extra laces included

No more slipping in my head

It was a replacement for a worn pair of shoes I used to ride in, my first proper mountain bike shoes. The reviews were right, your foot won't come off unless you want it too. I run full suspension Raceface Chester pedals and have had no slippage. These shoes are designed for riding and are not recommended for everyday use.

    Pros
    • Comfort: Designed with comfort in mind, the Freerider Primeblue features a breathable upper and cushioned footbed for a comfortable fit for extended wear.
    Cons
    • Not breathable enough for some people

very good mountain bike shoe with flat pedal and comfortable fit

I like the shoes in general. good weight, very good grip with flat pedals, easy to clean and very comfortable. I ordered half a size up for more room and was pleasantly surprised by the toe box capacity of the shoe. It's a good riding shoe.

    Pros
    • It was a gift and he loved her. Said they made mountain biking easier.
    Cons
    • The outsole is not as durable as other shoes in the same price range.

My third five in my rating

This is my third Five Ten shoe in the last year. There is also Freerider Pro and Sleuth. I love the Freerider Pro, they fit well and the comfort takes some getting used to, like this Prime Blue. I would say the fit is the same for the Pro and Prime Blue but the Sleuth is much longer. Since I have rather wide feet, freeriders are more suitable for me. Will stay in this shoe line.

    Pros
    • Great shoe that fits well and really holds the pedal. While driving, the feet have not slipped yet.
    Cons
    • cannot be machine washed

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

    This size does not fit.

I wear size 10 athletic shoes, including adidas. This shoe was advertised as a women's shoe 10 but fits like a men's shoe. I had space around my shoes. I returned it.

    Pros
    • El color, el material estan increibles, la talla fue extra, no espero la chora de poder pedal con ellas
    Cons
    • No support for high-performance activities

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent shoes the best in my rating

Bought these for my 15 year old son who is interested in mountain biking. These shoes are fantastic. Not to wear, but specifically for mountain biking.

    Pros
    • All the best
    Cons
    • Effortlessly collects dust and dirt

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best mountain bike shoes. Period.

Comfortable, true to size and they hold my pedal well. Convenient to carry on the trail and back. The durable platform also prevents pressure points and numbness in the toes.

    Pros
    • Super shoes grip. Ideal for flat pedals. Gladly again.
    Cons
    • May not provide enough padding for some users

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    great shoes my review

I don't know why I hesitated to buy a pair of 5/10, it changes my riding experience a lot. Make this your first pair. That's my review.

    Pros
    • Great
    Cons
    • The heel can slip out of the shoe when walking.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent grip - my new rating

The grip is excellent. Say very well done. Very comfortable with slightly above average toe width, ideal for running, hiking or cycling shoes. I thought the midsole was a bit stiffer than it is. No issues during my first nine miles of trail riding.

    Pros
    • Sustainability: The Freerider Primeblue is made from recycled materials, making it the eco-friendly choice for the eco-conscious consumer.
    Cons
    • Needs some time to dry after getting wet

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    They look a bit bulky

Overall they fit as expected but the tongue of the shoe is very thick, I'm not sure if it's meant to protect the foot when mountain biking but they feel bulky. They look cool but aren't comfortable enough to wear all day.

    Pros
    • Very comfortable shoes!
    Cons
    • Shoe design may be too easy for some people.

Fit and comfort are good. However, they don't even come close to the originals in terms of non-slip rubber on the underside. I rode them once and my feet would go over the pedals and occasionally hit the chainstays. I use One Up Composite pedals with aggressive pins. The rubber is hard...more like plastic. I wanted you to like them, but I'll give them back. 🙁

    Pros
    • I can't wait to ride with them!
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for those with wider feet.

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

Invalid Listing: Women's sizes are listed as men's sizes.

My 2 star rating was due to a misleading listing. Five Ten makes great shoes! These are women's shoes and are incorrectly listed as men's shoes. Just be aware that if you choose a men's size, it will be too small. I'm a men's size 9.5 and bought it because the ad said 'men'. If I had known it was a women's shoe size I would have bought a women's size 11. *Note: This is a rather wide shoe for this size. The Five Ten's rubber outsole works well and is great if you're worried about floor…

    Pros
    • Like the fit and the grip.
    Cons
    • May cause blisters or irritation

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

They have big but great shoes

These five to ten shoes are oversized. I have 5 pairs of five dozen and they are large especially the right shoe. I think it's a quality control issue.

    Pros
    • Great shoes that also fit my wide feet, after 10-15 rides the soles show no signs of wear from my chunky pedals.
    Cons
    • Not ideal for outdoor excursions due to lack of grip

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

Slippery mountain bike shoes? What's the point!

Fits well. Looks good. BUT, they have limited grip. My "Original" Five Ten grips like sandpaper. These are slippery. I found my feet were slipping off the pedals and were untrustworthy.

    Pros
    • Good
    Cons
    • Some users may find this too expensive.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good mountain shoe in my opinion

Great mountain bike shoes so far, only had them on two rides. Comfortable and keep the pedals tight. They seem a bit big, first I had to return the 12 I usually wear but the 11.5 fitted perfectly.

    Pros
    • Comfortable shoes made from really durable material.
    Cons
    • I HAVE NOT USED THESE SHOES BUT I RECEIVED ONE IN ANOTHER LESS SHOP. LOVE THIS BRAND FOR MY MTB TRIPS.,

Ideal flat shoes for mountain bikes

Great shoes, comfortable, hold the pedals well and are very durable. They should last for several years with daily use.

    Pros
    • These shoes are still amazing and match the description d.
    Cons
    • Cannot be waterproof
