Please investigate! on antennas

It didn't work at all. I lifted it to 40 feet and found the motor was not working. I contacted the company at the email address sent with the antenna and heard nothing. That's the part that really pissed me off. I just swallowed the cost of the antenna and bought a different brand from a different company. I also found through research that the only way to get the antenna 200 miles away is to install it at 150-200 feet elevation. Marketing is misleading.

A few minutes after installation

The antenna was pretty easy to assemble and install. Because it's better than the previous model, I haven't been able to pick up any new channels, although the ones I need may be 5-10 miles further than the ones I get. When trying to tune the antenna through the rotor, everything died. The image disappeared and the rotor stopped. The block lasted less than 30 minutes. In addition, the company offers a free gift for reviews, so I would take any positives with a pinch of salt.

I can't believe how many channels I'm receiving now!

At first I wasn't impressed when I first opened the package. The components seemed very light and thin. However, after assembling it, I was happy that it was as light as I intended, hanging about 20 feet above my roof. I live in Blythe, California and it can get very windy here so I think this antenna was a good choice in that regard. Then when I turned on the TV I was very surprised to see 23 crystal clear channels, whereas previously I was lucky with 3! The rotation function works but is…

Great range improvement!

I live in a rural area where it is difficult to connect to all major networks (one city is 51 miles away, another 65 miles away). I had a store bought antenna installed in my attic and it picked up 39 channels. I literally tied this antenna to a rafter in my attic (a two-story house 25-30 feet off the ground), moved it over a coax cable, and depending on which city I'm pointing it at, I get 53 or 71 channels (as there are more stations further down town and I can pick them all up). I'm excited…

Can't aim and bad signal

I bought this to replace an old antenna that was damaged in a storm. This item was no better than the damaged one. Very cheaply made and the rotor is unusable. You have to point the controls at the receiver and the rotor will jump left or right very quickly and it takes a lot of tries to get it in the right direction. When I got it where I wanted it the signal strength wasn't any better than the old one and half of it was gone! The rotor block is plastic when you push it against the bar and I…
