Works as it should. So I did it sloppy, I taped off the old screen and went at it with the tools in the box. Lots of broken glass but because I went crazy with the tape it captured the whole mess. Finally got around to fixing the screen on our 4 year old iPad. This screen is great! Nobody will ever know that this is not the original screen at all. It's great that it comes with all the tools you need to install it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because Wi-Fi didn't work after installing the new screen. We ended up fixing the problem simply by purchasing new Wi-Fi antennas to install the iPad, but then we had to remove that screen to replace the Wi-Fi antennas.

This was a great purchase. The only thing that bothers me is the instructions, they are quite detailed and correct, but the writing is very small and the pictures are very difficult to see. If the instructions were online in addition to the booklet with full size pictures I would find that helpful. The main reason for the success is that another WLAN antenna was included. This is a great product! I was very interested in the tablet screen replacement aspect. I've taken apart a few iPhones to dry them, but I've never replaced a single part. There are some great YouTube videos to walk you through the process. This screen was particularly badly broken as it fell from a bird's eye view and landed on concrete right in one of the corners. Worked but OMG. Terrible instructions! If you are not skilled and cannot figure out everything yourself, do not try to replace the screen. All the details are there but it's like operating on someone and he ended up bringing my broken iPad back to life. Did I mention the instructions are terrible? Why do these companies think they should save pennies by printing instructions on a 2" x 3" piece of paper? Seriously, they even tried putting stamp-sized illustrations on this piece of paper! Well packaged! You can call me SUPER Armatur because I had absolutely no idea I could do it. My toddler dropped and broke the screen in the bottom corner of our iPad 3 and after some Googling I figured the fix would cost more than it was worth. So I figured $20 wouldn't be such a big loss if I couldn't fully fix it. The instructions (or pictures on them) are pretty small so I just went to YouTube and found a very informative (50 minute) step by step video. This took me about an hour and a half.

It's pretty hard to say what you're getting for the money with this screen replacement pack. The tools provided (screwdrivers, nylon and metal spatulas, tweezers, etc.) are great, and the digitizer itself is very good. The digitizer comes with a home button and camera mount already installed, so you don't have to fiddle with removing the old ones from your stuck broken screen.
