Fjallraven Kanken No 2 Black Backpack Review

My daughter liked this bag very much. She had wanted one of these bags for a long time. She had never seen this style in a store before. Delivered on time, no problems.

This is my everyday work bag. As a middle-aged pro, I like the upgrade to the regular Kanken: leather interior and all black materials. Looks sloppy, but isn't sloppy. The mini size gives it a real handbag vibe. It doesn't look or feel like a bulky backpack.

It took me a while to figure out how to adjust the straps properly but once you put the strap through the loop the mini backpack is fully adjustable! The strap is not small! I can put my water bottle in my backpack so I didn't buy a side water bottle pocket. Haven't used my backpack on a daily basis yet, but so far it's good for stuff. I use it as a backpack.

I ordered the Kanken No.2 Mini in Dark Red, the premium version ($50 more with leather trim). Firstly, the color doesn't match the Revain photo at all and is also different from the Deep Red shown on the official Fjällräven website. What I got is more like a plum/burgundy colour. Also, the inner back pocket that holds the seat cushion was supposed to be tan to match the leather interior, but mine was the same color as the outer. that's the point. I discovered this brand and even though I'm a grown woman I loved it. I wanted a backpack and I liked its elegant simplicity. When it arrived I really liked the size and style, but when I went to use it I noticed the straps were very tight. I noticed that it is an adjustable strap and decided to lengthen it. I read many reviews about this bag, many of them said that the straps are too short, but the description said "long adjustable straps" so I took a chance and am very glad i did. Contrary to some other reviews this is not a "baby" bag, if you look at the kanken website a baby bag and a mini bag are two different things. Right in the front pocket was a leaflet with instructions on how to adjust the straps, once you figured that these need to be removed from the top of the D-rings you're done…
