I put in D batteries and they lit up right away. I turned it off and it wouldn't turn on again. I removed the battery cover and the batteries were so hot I burned myself. I returned it and will not buy it again. I am afraid that batteries can cause a fire.

This is a quality candle. I usually buy this type of candle at a hobby store, but they don't sell 9 inches, which is the height I need for a lantern. I prefer a flickering candle to those that only have a lightbulb in them. Flicker is more realistic. There was a control knob in the kit, but I use the "set it and forget it" method.

I got a new one today and am very happy with it. My first candle remote didn't work and the company sent me a new one for free. I'm planning to buy two more that will help with no electricity that doesn't need to be carefully monitored to prevent a fire. For this reason alone, they should be in every household.

They are beautiful and comparable to the Luminara brand but cheaper. I don't like that they smell like vanilla but I'm used to it. I had 2 of the 6 I bought (2 sets) were off the timer. It's a shame as the timer was a huge benefit for me. If you don't care about them turning on and off automatically, they're worth it.

I saw a similar candle at Potter's Barn and it was quite expensive; definitely more than I wanted to spend - no matter how much I liked it. Shortly thereafter I was browsing through Revain and found this candle. It was perfect. I have shown it in a glass lantern and it looks amazing. Would I recommend this product? Answer: Yes, immediately.

Candle size and color as described; Timer and remote work. However, it only glows at the very top, with a plastic cutout on the flap that "looks" like a flame. This was bought to fit in a large clothes rack so there is a small spot of light at the very top. Other LED candles provide 2-3 inches of light inside the candlestick. Hm?

I've wanted one of these moving wick candles since they came out. It arrived in just a few days and is GORGEOUS. Unfortunately, it's flavored. My husband is severely allergic to certain fragrances. I checked all the information on the internet before ordering this candle. No information indicated it was flavored. No indication on the packaging indicates that it is flavored. Unfortunately I cannot use this item in my home. I hope to find a replacement with no smell.

I needed a flameless candle for the New Year's table, so I ordered this. I was/am so happy with my purchase! I've had more compliments on my accommodation during the holiday season. Not only does this 'candle' remote not work, but after the 3rd use within 1 week the whole candle is pulsing - not the flame but the whole candle.
