Superb HEPA pre-filter

Superb pre-filter for my hybrid heat pump with integrated HEPA filter. This filter makes HEPA much cleaner and my HVAC specialist recommends this high capacity, high porosity pre-filter. This bulk purchase greatly reduced my costs, as did the time it took me to find that somewhat outdated 21 x 21 x 1 inch. It's not really intended to be the primary single filter for your system. Cons
  • High price

Great price but didn't live up to expectations.

Used Flanders filters in my last home for many years. This time I think the 20x20 size is not strong enough. My device bends the filters easily and I'm afraid they'll end up in a hole I can't reach. Tried to pin but these filters are too big for such a thin cardboard frame. Flanders would suggest abandoning this photo frame style filter and going back to a cardboard frame on the sides to allow the filter to hold its shape.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

However, Flanders filters that fit perfectly work best. We change them monthly. When we take them out, a lot of dust has accumulated on the filter, which means that it…
