They really should be a lot brighter!

The only thing that bothers me about these replacement LED Mag Light flashlights is that they are nowhere near as bright as buying a new Maglight ML300L flashlight when it's at max output compare these replacement lamps with 300 lm or 360 lm. Only lumens and with the new Maglight flashlight it can reach up to 625 lm, which is more than twice brighter for a three-element D-size Maglite ML300L. Yes, they're better than regular incandescent bulbs, but you'd better get into a new one Maglight…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Excellent light source and extended battery life

Excellent product for overall brightness and extended battery life. There is an anomaly where the beam focus point appears as a dark spot when you try to use it in an application that has a beam focus mechanism like a Maglight or Ryobi flash. If they are critical to your application, this may not be for you. They're inexpensive enough to try, so I'd recommend experimenting to see how they work with your flashlight. For me I need a long light and a bright light. This lamp worked great. If you're

The 4-6 element Maglite lamp

later. Firstly it doesn't quite match a 4-6 element Maglite bulb. The o-ring screw in the bulb socket needs to be bent about 1mm to allow the new LED bulb to fit through. I just took a titanium drill and trimmed the edges until I got the right diameter. Brightness is definitely better than incandescent but not as bright as other factory LEDs. The only saving grace from all the troubles is that the 6 cell Maglite bulb is about $25 plus the $8 LED bulb which is still cheaper than the $87 4 cell…

Does not work with "most " Maglites and one was defective

I have 4 different D-Cell Maglites, two and four chambers. They don't work in any of them, even after reversing the polarity in one to see if that was the problem. I don't know what the problem is. I was able to get one of those two to work in my Coleman 4D flashlight, so I know one of them should work (and have tested them explicitly, both polarities, in a 4 element Maglite that works with an incandescent bulb - so it's not on power and not in this flashlight. I suspect the connection isn't…

Pros
  • Bright Maglite LED Nulb: over 200lm, 6500K, beam angle: 110 degrees.

  • So far so good

Excellent light source and extended battery life

Excellent product brightness and best battery life.
