Not worth the hassle

I didn't like these pads. They weren't that easy to apply when you did it yourself. It hurt to take it off with the sensor still stuck to it. It seems that this is a trap for dirt. It itched like crazy and when I took it off with the sensor I had a red burn mark.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • frequency

use caution with placement

Wherever you place this on your body make sure it is in as relaxed a position as possible. I have a Freestyle Libre and my husband put it on while my arm was up. It made him wince/fold when my hand was down and let me tell you. That hurts. The glue is amazing because it took baby oil and alcohol to remove.

Patch Sensor Lifesaver

Before using them, I ruined the sensor by banging my hand on the wall after wearing it for 3 days. It was partially torn off and no longer worked. When I hit a wall with these patches, it doesn't knock or partially smash in. I would advise everyone to have them before you even get the sensor, don't wait for one of them to fall off your hand.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Waste of money!: Healthcare

This is all bullshit! I used five to get them to stick to my hand, the small end kinda sticks but getting the paper out so you can apply the rest of the patch just doesn't happen! I ended up using Nexcare waterproof knee and elbow wraps instead of those stupid things, and they only cost less than $2.50! waste of money it!

Sooo much better!: Patches

They are great. I used Medtronic bands. They tended to peel off after a few days, forcing me to use medical tape to keep everything in place, resulting in huge residue lines when I switched places. It stays and doesn't leave a terrible mark on my transmitter. I was sure I was offered when my pump alarmed that the sensor was dead because the tape hadn't come off yet! Will definitely buy again!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Big and voluminous

Impressed! No lifting or peeling! I love them

They are AWESOME! Use them on the Medtronic Guardian Link 3 (GL3) and you'll never have problems with raised edges or anything like that. We had to learn a bit during the application process, but we made it. It's so nice to see the device through and the sun can still seep through the clear sheet so you don't have a big white spot on your arm. :) We will definitely continue to order them.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Hard on sensitive skin, poor adhesion

Had high hopes for the clear patch but was very disappointed with the results. I treated it like a sugar bandage: I shaved the day before, cleaned my skin with alcohol, put on a protective barrier cloth, and gave it at least 12 hours before a workout. It WILL NOT hold up to a sweat or shower and crumbled almost immediately. when I started sweating. Although the patch was reapplied to the skin after drying, it created a lot of wrinkles in that area and is not holding. Also, it dried out the skin

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Fairly good

It Really Works - Full 14 Days - Update

CGM Coating Patches Protect and Protect Libre Sensors. Because the sensors cost over $60 each (every 14 days) and can't be reapplied once they're knocked out, it's worth buying the reliable $0.60 cover. One that can withstand exercise, sweat, and showering is a valuable addition to your diabetes care regimen. This CGM patch is thinner than bandages and adheres well to clean skin. Mine lasted 14 days (equivalent to a Libre sensor). While the edges are raised slightly (after a shower), this is…
