71cm Long Flexible Sink Overflow Drain Cleaning Brush for Efficient De-Clogging Review

I was looking for a longer version of this type of brush to clean some dishwasher air gap tubes without taking anything apart. This one is longer than most and very durable! You'll have to wait a while for shipping if you're in the US, but it's a good product if you want a longer brush.

This drain is too big to overflow (I tried 3 different sinks). First, the bristles are 1 inch long. Second, there is a 1/2" plastic protrusion at the end that is about 1/4" in diameter. Third, metal wire is very stiff. This means IF you can put that plastic end into the overflow drain, the rest won't bend so you can push it down. Using pliers, I made a sharp bend on the end of the plastic end just to push it down the drain, but then it got stuck - barely pulling it out. Note: I gave it two…

Update: Turned out to be 18" too short to thoroughly clean my air gap hose and it clogged again. under the kitchen sink and will cause a wet mess if not caught in time. My previous repairs (blowing it out with a paper towel hose or pulling wire through it) were temporary, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
