Aside from being quite heavy to carry when travelling, they are very handy when getting in and out of the water. There is a really tight mechanism to open them so my husband helps so I don't break my nails. He's confident it will weaken over time, as it has over the years. HOUR

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Empty

You must develop a better trigger

You must develop a better trigger. My pair is incredibly difficult to "turn up". And I'm afraid of trying to bend the release to "weaken" it. I don't see how I could easily release the latch to flip them over when dealing with choppy water. Expect a better version with releases resembling strap buckles sticking up. Or even a bolt with a pivot.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless functions

Just a novelty, not for serious diving.

The mechanism that keeps the fin down and in working position broke on the 9th dive. Unfortunately this was the first dive of a week long safari trip. I tested them on a short weekend trip and they survived. Very bad publicity, a boat full of experienced divers excited to watch these fins work and then a total failure. I had to "fix" the fin with a drill and some large zip ties.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Operating speed

Difficult water sports to master

They work great but are difficult to engage in the water. So finding a place is something that is difficult to learn. Trying to lock them up on the shore defeats the purpose of making them tip over, and the sand often blocks the lock, requiring you to jump to get the sand out and still manage to block them. Also if you hit them on a rock and they seemed to float but that only happened 2 times in 4 rides.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

terrible fins on Scuba & Snorkeling

I've been snorkeling for about 40 years so I've had many different types of fins over the years and these were the worst fins I've ever tried. Luckily we had good customer service and I was able to return. The trigger was very difficult to turn and when it finally came off it cut my finger. Finn then hit me pretty hard on the shin. The fin was too long and could not be let through when raised. It is better, like me, to wear open bathing shoes with open flippers so that you can take off the…
