In California (not sure about other states) nail salons are only allowed to use those horrible, hard, square pumice stones(?). I hate them! My salon told me I can bring my own file because they are allowed to use it as long as it belongs to the buyer. very ticklish feet. like me. Highly recommended.

My podiatrist insists I take good care of my feet. Because of my job, I'm always on my feet. I have plantar fasciitis, flat feet and lots of calluses some of which are very sore. So I have a whole set of foot files, including batteries. None of them have given me results like this Schwedenklee after the first application. Wow! I used it the day before my next doctor visit. Without a doubt the best foot file I've ever tried. I used to buy those pumice stones and co and was never really satisfied because I never managed to get rid of the extra thick skin on the balls of my feet. This product does not work at all. Don't waste money. And how to remove corns and rough skin from legs with a piece of plastic with protruding plastic bumps? I should have looked more closely at the pictures before purchasing, which unfortunately is non-refundable. I have no idea how it got good reviews and now I'm wondering if those are real reviews. This is amazing! I have very sensitive feet but I ended up getting rid of my plantar warts by using it every 3-4 days. This is enough to shave damaged skin and recover. Tried everything before, painful freezes at the doctor's office, Compound-W, apple cider vinegar, duct tape, whatever, I've tried but it was the ticket! Be sure to clean it thoroughly with soap and alcohol afterwards to avoid re-infection of good skin.

It removes calluses really well and the 'thin' side seems to work better on my feet than the 'rough' side. I apply it dry and then wash it under running water and rub it quickly with a nail brush. I've tried so many other planes and the stuff they sell in the stores is a waste of money. I've had this file for a few weeks now and it's still like new. I have to buy a few more of these to keep in reserve just in case.

I gave it 5 stars because I've had it for 6 years now, I use it every night and it's still brand new.
