Description of Fluke 113 True RMS Utility Multimeter

Digital multimeter measures AC/DC voltage, resistance, and capacitance and performs continuity and diode tests. True RMS meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear or nonlinear loads where the current or voltage has a sinusoidal or non-sinusoidal waveform. Simultaneously checks for voltage and continuity. Manual and auto ranging modes for user flexibility. Safety rated for Category III to 600Volts and Category IV to 300 Volts.

This fluke is good for multitester

This is a really good tester. It's an accident. I almost always had a fluke and worked with it for years. This is a good option for home and boat.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Secret

Ideal for electricians

Great meter for electricians but not for low voltage troubleshooting due to the universal AC/DC resistance as it will interfere with the circuits controlled by the alarm panel…. I bought Fluke 117 and recommend it

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • OK

Very happy with the modern Fluke

Everything you would expect from a Fluke. Mine is money calibrated for everything but low resistance and low voltage. And even then it was good in spec. Very happy with the modern Fluke.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Zero

good price compared to ww grangerer.

I've always used Fluke. Very reliable. Durable. I don't need all these extra adjustments, so why because of the more expensive accidents. All I need is excitement and continuity. My last accident died at the age of eight after falling from six meters.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some little things

Doesn't read low DC voltage

I used it for the first time and everything was fine until I tried to read the voltage which was reduced from 10VDC to 4VDC with a 100k ohm resistor , the meter could not read the voltage due to resistance. I returned it and bought a model 115 with a separate AC/DC voltage selector.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Fits

Industry Standard

As an engineer in the semiconductor industry, I understand the importance of quality equipment. When manufacturing at the nanoscale, you need precise and reliable tools. This DVM is both. The backlit screen works great even in daylight. The automatic voltage detection function is very useful: just turn on the device and check the AC or DC voltage, the digital voltmeter will show what you need thanks to the true RMS design.

  • Best in Niche

Simplicity for multi-testers

Very good, simple and practical meter for home or service equipment. As long as you don't need to measure current, this is the way to go. To clear up the confusion I've read about, Fluke's materials say it switches to continuity for anything under 3V. That almost put me off buying it. But that's not true, it easily measured the AA and AAA batteries I tried. Not sure why they caused this confusion in their own documentation? Cons: Comes with cheaper "plastic" wires. Buy a pair of softer silicone

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not the best
