I will not buy this product again nor will I recommend it.

Bought this multimeter in September 2020. I used to have blood glucose meters. I tried to use it 2 days ago and the counter doesn't show anything. Changed battery, same result. There are only lines on the screen. Fluke has made great multimeters in the past, but this one didn't last a year. Very disappointed. My return and service ended. I don't know if I can recommend this product or not.

Pros
  • Closed case calibration through the front panel
Cons
  • Protection

Multimeter for general electronics hobbyists

I used to have a Fluke 179 but somehow I lost it one day. It took me a while to get another one when I found out the price had gone up significantly. So I looked very closely at the specs and found that this model 177 is identical except for the temperature ratings. But since I don't need this function, I took this model. Like the Model 179, this model is built like a tank, very accurate and reliable. I think everyone knows that if you want the best, you need randomness.

Pros
  • Manual and auto range with display hold and auto hold
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Awesome update for my old Radio Shack VOM!

I'm so glad I finally bought a Fluke test tool. My old Radio Shack gave me very unreliable readings and was very slow. This thing is very fast and I have to assume it is accurate. I use it to work with home electronics - to measure AC and DC current, voltage, continuity and so on. The build quality is excellent. There is a very similar model for use in automobiles, but it does not provide accurate measurements of very small voltages and currents, so it is not suitable for working with…

Pros
  • Manual and Auto Range with Display Hold and Auto Hold
Cons
  • The list will be long.
