Accurate with long battery life

I have been using this tester (several replacements for lost and broken testers but always this one) for ten years. I'm an IBEW Electrician, I mainly do Commercial Construction and TI (Tenant Improvement) so I need something accurate and reliable. Although I always recommend that you hire a professional, this is a good tool for checking tension. This is in no way a substitute for a digital meter, it is the first step in checking for the absence of voltage.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some problems

The best voltage tester

Fluke's Awesome Hot or Not Tool. It is compact and can be taken anywhere. Also very mysterious. It's quiet too. Doesn't make loud beeps like many other testers. It has a battery check button which is handy for you to check before use. The lack of an audible alarm is great if you do electrical work where people work and/or run a business. You don't need people watching or getting caught out by all the noise. This is a quality product worth every penny.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Easy to use and reliable

Wanted something more reliable than just easy to use, it's both! I've read reviews from some other brands that they have a lot of false signals, this one is set up so it's not overly sensitive and in most cases it isn't unless it's actually wired (or plugs etc.) in contact indicates a malfunction. presence of power. That's exactly what I wanted, more accurate than Quick and Easy, but more false positives. Of course, keep in mind that these types of testers are only for pre-testing and you…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Always on - the only way out

Fluke is the only voltage tester I trust with my life and my equipment. I'm an electrician, repairing industrial plants, residential buildings, moats, towers and everything in between. This always-on version is better in every way. Over the years I've disabled a few $30+ pairs of clippers with the old version you had to turn on because it's possible over thousands of hours to make the mistake of turning the device off (in assuming you turn it on) or time out and shut down. The only thing to be…
