Ideal for organizing an IFR flight.

Purchased for training and IFR flights. I have used a lapboard before and really enjoyed it when flying IFR. This way I can keep my approach charts, notes and IFR checklist accessible. I actually cut off the clear plastic strap, they were supposed to make it detachable with velcro. My shims are in clear plastic protective sleeves that attach to the connector ring holes. My IFR flight plan and notebook are clipped to my tablet, and I tuck my IFR checklist into my right side pocket. I used clear…

Great when the load on the cabin increases.

2300 hours on one engine and never flown with a checklist on his leg. Mainly because I've flown in the Indonesian jungle in northern Canada or flown with a flight instructor in a low-traffic area. I knew my frequencies and area from memory, knew the people on the other end of the radio, and could handle the checklist I kept in my side pocket. Well made and designed

Very well made from durable materials. At 6ft 2in as a passenger in the Cessna 150, space was priceless. This worked well for taking notes and viewing maps while searching with air telemetry. Adding 2 metal rings and a zip pocket designed to hold a similar sized 3 ring binder worked. Good for storing extra notes, pens and pencils. The wide strap was comfortable and secure on my large foot. He also holds a smaller foot well. The velcro pocket is handy for spare AA batteries for my portable GPS…
