Bought this to help my granddaughter create balloon sculptures. Big mistake. It won't burst them no matter how you prepare the balloon by stretching it. I assume he inflates round balloons but I don't see why it should be necessary to have some kind of gear hanging around when the hand pump comes up. Big disappointment. It returned.
