I wasn't sure if it was really snug enough for my use, much to my bliss I report it is a wonderful item. Dense, "odor free", clean, comfortable and perfect for extra support for many reasons - a dip in your sofa, an armchair, a mattress, a cushion replacement in dining chairs. After a few weeks of use, it's still nice and tight like the original. Other items were shredded within days/weeks. Bought 3 inches deep and 72 inches long I cut off 1/3 to use now and have more for a future replacement.

I bought this foam to repair a really badly cut futon that had had its feathers and interior destroyed. It fully expands very quickly, only smells slightly, but does not last long and dissolves quickly. I cut the foam (which was the only problem because I never found a good way to cut it). of the 4 boxes I ordered. Only one was actually high density foam. As a person who only buys one you must be fed up with what you are getting as my attached photos show. The first of 4 boxes provided excellent high density foam, just what I ordered. The next 3 were rubbish. I would not use this foam to upholster anything in my house.
