I attached them to a small 20L backpack with the same little straps that kept slipping when I was carrying the backpack on one shoulder. The smaller straps also kept spinning, forcing me to sort them out before putting my pack on, and the friction D-rings didn't "train" very well, causing the strap to spin at the worst possible times solved. Attached this to one of my solo backpack sprayers and what a great change. They are much nicer and more comfortable than what was on the sprayer. I never knew they were available until one of my straps broke and I got tired of carrying about three gallons on one shoulder.
