Last year I destroyed the buttons on my key fob by wiping them down with hand sanitizer. I'm so glad I found this replacement! It took my husband 20 minutes to set it up so pretty painless I would say. Works as it should and certainly saved a lot by not going to the dealer. The item arrived in less than 24 hours using Prime.

Good quality key fob however this key fob is slightly different from the fob on my 2013 Kia Soul. The base of the metal key itself is slightly smaller than my existing key. I was planning to change the parts but they are not compatible. Just a warning to anyone looking to do the same.

Poor quality bitterness lasts longer than low price sweetness. This product sucks. I bought this key for 2013 Kia Sportage. I couldn't get the key to fit in the keyhole and get the spring to work properly. In fact, my OEM key fits very poorly. I thought I was until I spent $13.95 on a competitor's product and it worked like a charm. Don't buy this inferior copycat.

A much cheaper alternative to buying a factory part from the dealer but you better have good tools to insert the chips from your old fob into your new one. The key and the large chip are easy to replace, but the small chip is glued and fragile, so it is very difficult and difficult to remove it from the old key fob without breaking it. I suggest you watch a YouTube video about it before ordering one of these.

Bought for my 2013 Kia Soul as the buttons on my original have worn down over the years. It was really easy to assemble, I just wish there were instructions in the box saying to wind the key (to tension the spring more) before locking. There are many videos on the internet that will show you what I mean. This must be done in such a way that the key falls out when the button is pressed. Much cheaper than buying a new key from your local dealer.

It adds some very important specific details. When I installed the first one, the key wouldn't engage without a physical turn. When I watched this YouTube video he explained how to put the spring in and turn the key all the way around just once. That was enough for the second.
