Ford F7TZ-12K073-B sensor recommended 7

I've been told that this is the item that should be carried in the glove box in any car with a 7.3 engine. Engine. If that fails, you're done. The engine stops. It is easily interchangeable by anyone with a 10mm socket, 3 inch. Extension and ratchet wrench (3/8" drive). This takes about two minutes total. This specific part: Ford F7TZ-12K073-B sensor recommended by 7.3 experts.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative impression

it is better to have a spare tire and a box wrench for 10

I learned my lesson by buying an aftermarket CPS at an auto parts store. It only lasts 18,000 miles and costs the same as this OEM part. I bought a replacement from my local Ford dealer. This Ford CPS purchased here from Revain is to be transported in my truck. If you have a 7.3 it is best to have a spare key and a 10mm box end wrench with you. CPS on 7.3 is known to shut down without warning.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • The list will be long.

"Must buy the Ford brand "?

Well I've always been told that you should use a Ford branded CPS as there are occasional parts stores and counterfeits. Well it's time to replace mine. Luckily I already had one. The day after I installed it, the truck stalled on the freeway. I was able to run it and everything was fine for 2 weeks. Well, I had to buy another "Ford brand". Hope it doesn't spoil quickly. I also ordered a fake just in case. It's a bit surprising that the part EVERYONE says they need is no different than the part

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Big and bulky

OEM FORD Cam Position Sensor Works for F250 7.3 PowerStroke Diesel

I bought two of these sensors - one to fit in and one to keep in the car for future replacement. They were packaged in Ford OEM plastic packaging and the seal looked pre-lubricated. I needed this sensor in a comprehensive replacement strategy to solve a sudden stop issue with PowerStroke 7.3 Diesel - this is the least expensive/most invasive step before replacing another sensor and wiring harness. I replaced mine roadside after my engine inexplicably stalled. In this review, you do so freely at
