Not for me - fall protection

I don't understand how people use them with just their hands. I strive for simple things that work, but my brother and I tried my washing machine and that would be a problem. I had straps but they didn't allow us to lift my washing machine high enough to go down the stairs with the last loop on the straps. There is no return window, so you just have to leave them. I will look for others, more regulated.

Pros
  • Personal protective equipment
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Read the instructions that came with the product.

I've had forearm forklift straps for years and use them for everything from lifting a Christmas tree box up the stairs to lowering a heavy box between two other boxes. When I saw that there are now straps that give you extra support when moving heavy things, I just had to have them. You wear the straps like a vest and get extra support for your upper body.

Pros
  • Tools & Household Items
Cons
  • Crumpled

Dangerous for the gear on the stairs but it works.

Seems very dangerous but worked. We used this version of the strap to move a 2 door fridge down the stairs and up about 6 steps and then through the house to the kitchen. Anyone on a low level walking up or down stairs is in serious danger of having an object fall on them without being able to bounce back. Then you have a few hundred pounds more on your lap. Carrying a large fridge through doors seems fine, but next time I'll hire an equipment handcart to get up the stairs.

Pros
  • Fall arrest device
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
