Doesn't work with Samsung Android

If you want to use Square on a Samsung tablet, don't buy this one. Buy Honeywell 1250G. The LS2208 kept crashing even though it was supposed to work with Android via an OTG cable. Honeywell 1250G works directly with an OTG cable.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Zero

2 OF 3 PURCHASED I WILL STOP IN ONE DAY

I have bought 3 of these scanners. 2 of them worked one day and now they don't work anymore. I have to pack them up and send them back. This is not a quality product. I would recommend doing more research and buying something else. Avoid disappointment!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Great Scanner - Office Electronics

There are cheaper options but this is a solid scanner that works seconds after you plug it in and will continue to work after being dropped a few times. Reads barcodes well. Cheaper scanners have trouble loading their software, don't read barcodes consistently, and seem to go nuts when dropped.

Pros
  • Impressive

NO even close to the LS2208 symbol

I bought three of these. THIS IS A CHEAP FAKE ICON LS2208. Not only is it cheap in materials and manufacturing processes, but it also doesn't have the same scan engine as the LS2208 (meaning you can't scan or program a scanner like the LS2208). If you want a good scanner, don't buy this one. I'm sending this back.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

I use it with my square setup and it works great. I also use it on my Windows 10 computer and it works great. didn't work very well with one of our older Windows 8 laptops, but I'll attribute that to the computer and not the device as it's worked great with everything else so far. Makes adding inventory to our systems much easier

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later

LS2208. The scanner is a workhorse.

The LS2208 is quite simply the best barcode scanner ever made. The model has gone through three company changes. Symbol made them. Motorola bought them and couldn't improve on them. Now it's owned by Zebra and they can't update it. I've been using them for 10 years. Take the same ones I bought back then. Just lost one completely. I bought a cheap device so as not to bother with cheapness. The cheap one is under my desk again and I bought it. I was a fool You don't have to be. Buy it.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very Expensive
