The rod has flats to keep it from slipping in the drill chuck. I drilled a hole in a piece of spruce wood to test it. The Forster Genubi 2.75/70mm Bit DESTROYED MY PROJECT!

NOT WORTH A PRICE! I rarely write reviews but I had to warn people about these cheap tools. I only bought this one as there aren't many options for this size. The drill cuts horribly with a hand drill. The punch jumped and broke my wrist, ripping a hole instead of cutting through. The last hole was far from the right size. The chisel grabbed, bounced and flew out of the hole, repeatedly damaging/going through the wood around the hole. I tried it on a drill press but after a cut in oak the drill

Not for use in anything remotely harsh

Bought this to poke a few holes through a .75" Hackberry for my maglocks. I set the speed of my drill properly, clamped my workpiece and started drilling very slowly. After about 2 seconds I had a serious burn despite going very shallow and then picking up the drill and repeating. I successfully made a hole (although with a decent cool down for a few minutes and tried to drill a second hole. The smoke went away immediately and I gave up.
