Fortin Flash-Link USB Bootloader - Advanced Computer Firmware Update Tool Review

Fake updater. This listing shows a newer version of the Updater2 module, but I received an older model. I am not happy. Now I have to jump through hoops to get it back for a refund.

Purchased to install 2 EVO-All systems in my vehicles. I wasn't sure if I needed this part from reading online when I ordered it, but I was glad I did. This is required for the installation. I made both EVOs including the RF642W 2-way remote kit to increase the range on one of them. The entire installation probably took about 4 hours.

Used it once to program an Evo-All as a remote start for my wife's car. It worked great for the 5 minutes I used. Too bad it wasn't necessary to program the bypass unit.

Very easy to use. The options are amazing. Thank you thank you. If you have any programming issues please contact tech support, they are amazing and very knowledgeable.

It's a bit odd to rate this because when you need it, you need it. No choice. But other than that, it does a great job and Fortin's documentation and support is good.

After update we installed it. It didn't work and locked us in the system. Called support and said the update would take another 48 hours. We then removed it and sent it back. Garbage!

I have a 2012 Nissan Altima and I bought an EVIO NIST1, I didn't think I needed it because it was supposed to be specific to the Nissan Altima (2007-2012). Paying $140 to remote start a car isn't enough, so pay an extra $50 for that piece of junk that didn't work. It didn't work at first, it got stuck at 1% update and then became undetectable by my computer (common problem with them). And Revain delivered it late and it came broken. So bad luck. This is a great flash link if you regularly install Fortin car alarms. It didn't make sense for me to save because I only needed it once, just to switch and update my offline work once it was done, it wasn't necessary.
