For the money this is amazing. My son had an alphabet game at school where he was a pesky pirate with a parrot. This thing was amazing and put on a show in his kindergarten class. Perfect for costumes, games or props. My son had it completely torn up by the end of the day, but he's 6 years old and I wasn't looking for something permanent. The picture looks like a stuffed parrot but when you receive the item it is a styrofoam with a tuft of feathers glued to it. The tape that you wrap around your shoulder is actually two strands that you have to tie together to secure it. The label is glued to the foot and sticks out like a sore toe. I think you could take it off, but you have to be careful not to tear the security thread. If I had seen it in person before buying it, I would not have bought it. Would not recommend to anyone…

Not a bad price. This parrot is a foam core with feathers glued to the surface. Pretty good for the price. The legs are molded from plastic (the same material the army greens are made from). The legs are inserted into holes in the bird's underside. They were easy to pull out, but that was quickly fixed with some hot glue.
