I use this ring on Alien Bees softboxes to convert them to a Bowen S mount. The good news is that it works, albeit a little smaller in circumference. I added some large washers when attaching to the softbox to make it stronger. The construction is solid, all metal, and the Bowen mount works as expected. The price is right.

Very fast delivery, unfortunately the adapter didn't fit. It would be helpful if they had a warning that Paul Buff softboxes have at least three different sized mounts ranging from 135mm to 144mm, they are not interchangeable. You'll have to take out the existing one and measure carefully as it turns out I need 144mm not 135 and Fotoconic doesn't have a 144mm bowen ring.

Need another one but don't have one. Backordered and don't know when it will be available. I bought this to convert my Rapid box to a Bowens mount and it worked great and now I need to convert my second Rapid box and I can't get this thing. Bowens bayonet flange arrived as described. The metal was well made and the plate matched my beauty plate (which came with a mounting plate for a other brand of brackets I have). The bayonet pins sit exactly where they should be and the flange fits neatly into my lights. Now I can use the Beauty Plate on 2 different brands of lights. If you are purchasing this to replace the Paul C Buff softbox mounts please note it is approximately 2.5cm smaller. It won't fit exactly. I knew that before I bought it. I did preliminary research - I came across one that fits exactly not on Amazon but on a private site, it was three times the price of this one. In any case, don't worry, buy this product and replace Paul's plastic washers holding the mount with a slightly larger metal washer. Works great! Also note that this product comes from…
