Controls all EF-M lens functions

I purchased this adapter to connect my Canon DSLR EF-M lenses to a Canon C Mount Canon EOS-M. Needed an adapter that would work with the full electronics of the EF-M lens. This has worked great without any problems. It controls the auto-focus, the zoom and aperture without any issues. It does look funny with my 18-55 lens on the little mirrorless camera (see attached picture). I also tried this using a non-Canon lens that was EF-M 18-135mm and it worked without any issues. I love that it…

Pros
  • 3 x 4 x 2 inches
Cons
  • May not work well in low light conditions

I bought a new Canon M50 camera, replacing my old Canon XSi but I would like to keep using my EF-S lenses. The built material of the adapter is great, everything for now fits perfectly. All lenses functions work. However after installing the old lenses, the Canon M50 would be hunting for focus by itself, even without pressing the shutter button. Battery would drain really fast. After several research in the web, I found a solution. Disabling the "continuous AF" in my camera, solved the problem.

Pros
  • Adapters & Converters
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all autofocus settings on EOS M EF-M camera bodies

Good low-priced option but there is a flaw

It works, that's what matters the most. I'm using this as part of a cage set up for video, allowing me the flexibility of the EOS EF line with the portability of the EOS M. I haven't had any problems with movement between the lenses and adapter as some have mentioned here, but I'm not hand holding anything for stills or video. My complaint is the sloppy fit between the adapter and the tripod mount. I've tightened it up as finger tight as possible and there's still plenty of lateral play. Not a…

EF lens lives again!

I have a few EF lens and only two EF-M lens. Not sure if I should purchase any new EF-M lens which I found not many good EF-M lens. Hesitated to purchase EF to EF-M len mount for almost a year since Canon is charging the mount for a unreasonable price. Finally make the move when I found this Fotodiox mount.Frankly I do not have much expectation for this adapter since it is just fraction of price compare to Canon adapter. However my jaw drops to the ground. How can they make something this great

Pros
  • EF to EOSm - Auto
Cons
  • May not work well with fast-moving subjects

Fast Autofocus & Great Value

I am not a professional photographer, but I do take my gear selections pretty seriously. This adapter surprised me with both the build quality and functionality considering the price.I don't feel like I am missing out on anything not buying the $200 Canon adapter. The product is constructed of a strong polymer (plastic) material. It feels well made and durable, but I wouldn't go dropping it like Casey Neistat.Fitment with my Canon M100 and EF-S lenses have been great, and the autofocus is…

Pros
  • The Fotodiox Pro adapter is made of high-quality materials, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance.
Cons
  • May produce chromatic aberration in some images

Used This Very Little

I bought this adapter so that I can use all the EF lenses that I have, but so far haven't used the adapter much. Haven't done any tests, but the few pictures I've taken with this device on my M6 look okay. Not sure how it compares with the Canon adapter, by my guess is that the Canon adapter is of better quality material and manufacturing. Still, if you just want to use some of your EF lenses occasionally with your M series camera, this will probably do as good a job as the Canon adapter.

Pros
  • The adapter is lightweight and compact, making it easy to carry around and perfect for use during travel or outdoor shoots
Cons
  • May require calibration for proper use

Great Product. Works well with all canon lenses

Great Product. Works well with all canon lenses. I'm using this adaptor on a m10 and it works flawlessly. The autofocus on the camera itself isn't very fastest even when using EF-M lenses, so I was skeptical with the purchase after reading some of the reviews. I don't notice any lag in focus speed using this adaptor on the m10. In fact, it improved preformance when I used my Sigma 50mm 2.8. I found this lens searching to focus on subjects unbearably slower on my 5D or Rebel T2i, but usinging it

Pros
  • The auto-focus feature ensures sharp and clear images, even when capturing fast-moving subjects or in low light conditions
Cons
  • May produce flares or ghosting in some images

Snug fitting and quality construction

This adapter mounts on the Canon M50 with no slack; all my Nikon lens work (manual focus & aperture) with the adapter and M50. I shot several images with a 300mm/F4 Nikon telephoto, used manual focus with focus peaking and got nice sharp images. I can recommend this adapter for the M series cameras.

Pros
  • Infinity Focus Allowed
Cons
  • May not be as durable as native lenses

Works Like a Charm: my feedback

When I purchased this item, it had just appeared on Ebay, and there were no customer reviews. But I have been buying Fotodiox products for years, and their quality is consistently excellent. I had been looking at the Canon EOS M Mount Adapter and a couple of other brands, but when I saw the Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter at less than half the cost of the Canon, it was a no-brainer--go with Fotodiox. With this affordable adapter, my new EOS M camera should become the most versatile tool in my…

Pros
  • The adapter supports a variety of popular Canon EF and EFs lenses, making it a highly versatile and practical accessory for photographers
Cons
  • May produce inconsistent results

A Simple Item, That Is Well Made

I purchased this because I've plenty of EF, and EF-S Canon lenses. Acquiring an M5, it was the perfect way to retain the functionality of those lenses. I received this adapter, and was impressed with how well it was put together. It fit the camera very nicely, and in truth it is not a complex item. Coupled with the fact that it is about 20% of the retail cost of the Canon adapter, it turned out to be a smart buy. The tripod mount is quite handy, and is very sturdy. When it connects to the M5…

Pros
  • This adapter is designed to be highly durable, and it can withstand the wear and tear of regular use without losing performance
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all third-party lenses

Best mount out there

For its price, it's amazing how good this product is.I use it all the time to mount my Nifty-fifty lens on my Canon M50 mark 2, and it works like a charm for both video and photos.

Pros
  • 24 Month Manufacturer Warranty
Cons
  • May produce soft focus in some images
