Just another cheap silicone ball valve.

Well it's just another troublesome silicone ball valve. I was led to believe this is a regular Schrader valve but your pictures are deceiving. This is a complete "service" kit with two extra low Schrader valves. If you look at my photos you can see how ugly they are, the ball doesn't even get inserted straight. As you work, note how far you turn the gauge adapter on the fitting. They will definitely break if you open the valve all the way.

Ok but not what I expected

This is indeed the correct valve for my truck but I was expecting the high side valve to be the better type without the rubber bulb inside. This is the third replacement as the rubber piece inside is damaged due to the gauge being screwed in and not closing properly after a few times. Update 10/11/2019: The high pressure side started leaking again as the rubber piece inside did not fit properly and the service gauges were only fitted twice to check the pressure.

I bought an A/C cover and valve gasket kit for my GMC Sierra 2500 HD 6.0L. I noticed a valve leak on the high pressure side and my A/C was slowly losing freon to the point where my A/C compressor/clutch would not turn on about a week and a half after filling my A/C with freon. I added paint to the A/C and noticed that the paint was coming out of the valve on the low pressure side. I took these parts to my AC technician and they solved my problem. I live in Arizona and as you know we need our…

Worked on a 1995 Chevy k1500

This kit kept the service port valve from leaking on the high side (large male aluminum male coupler in photo; used on most GM high pressure sides). And Schrader valves (3 small devices) stopped the leak at the underside service port. The Schrader valve on the low-side service port can be removed and replaced with the R134A No-Loss Schrader Valve Remover/Installer without the "extra” steps on the high-side. Unfortunately, if your high side connection is leaking, you will need to recover all of…
