Good fit and finish

Good fit and finish. Aluminum body, not steel. Would have given a higher rating but the bypass hole was a smaller diameter than the original. Maybe 5.0 will fit, I'm not sure. Does not correspond to 90 5.8. Can be used with other hoses if desired

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Functionality

Good part of average quality.

Perfect for my 93 F150 (302 v8). Just what I needed to replace the crappy old one. No leaks, no cooling problems. A good piece of medium quality. Be sure to tighten the plug at the top before installation if you don't install a pressure gauge.

Pros
  • Thermostatic sockets
Cons
  • I don't like it that much, everything is fine

I bought this for my 1966 Mustang with a 302 engine.

I bought this for my 1966 Mustang with a 302 engine. The bypass hose neck is much larger than the water pump neck. In fact, it's too big to not work at all. I only noticed this after the installation. So now it becomes scrap metal. I ended up buying another one.

Pros
  • Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning
Cons
  • Upgradeable

75 F100 302 will do but

I bought this to replace the factory thermostat housing on my 75 F100 302. At the same time, the inlet of the bypass hose on the body is much smaller than the factory one. This will work with no leaks, but I had to twist the clamp a little more than I found comfortable, you could probably fix that with another hose. The body came with a gasket, but I used a very large amount of RTV sealant in addition to the gasket to prevent leakage.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Hard to tell
