Fits my old frame perfectly

I have an old Ellsworth frame (and love it) and have replaced it with a 1x drivetrain. I wanted to protect my investment with a crash pad, but the frame was too old to have mounting points in it. This allowed me to use a standard bashguard that is already doing its job. Good product, easy to install.

Works as it should, but has some limitations.

The screw hole spacing of the adapter is precise and fits exactly like the BB spacer, which is great. However, the stamped taper is not deep enough for the bars to end up where they normally would on an ISCG BB shell. It doesn't matter if you just use a taco bash or a chain guide, but I'm not sure it would work with the 2x bash setup.

Used/Refurbished item.

It may not matter much, but this item has been used or at least refurbished. As soon as I removed the zip ties, I noticed a few small nicks on the inside of the adapter. It won't affect its use and probably won't be noticeable to anyone but me, but it's there. and shouldn't be. The included hex screws were in a zip pocket; Both the adapter and the case came in a large plastic bag. It will fit and I appreciate the SUPER FAST shipping and solid price.

No instructions but great quality

Aside from the lack of instructions, the product just works. It's nothing special to be honest, but the workmanship seems good and I feel safe wearing the chain guide/tensioner/guard on an old frame that didn't originally have a bracket. My top recommendation for this company. and the buyer (if you're reading this) needs to figure out how to install them. The direction of the "curved" edge (toward the frame or the pedal) will affect how your skid plate will fit and possibly how well it will…

For those looking to protect their chainring and bottom bracket (BB) from rocks and root damage, this product is a welcome addition. This product is compatible with Sram DUB BSA bottom brackets to convert your old bike geometry without ISCG-05 mounting points to install compatible guards, chain guides and tensioners.
