Ripped along seam after a few uses

A seam broke after a few uses to make English muffins. I've tried various attempts at gluing with no success, so I came back here to buy a beefier solid circle set. Perfect height and size for English cupcakes, but a low score for secure stitching which I think indicates poor quality or craftsmanship. Or maybe I just got a lemon kit. I think the sigils in general look very weak.

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • No instructions

Crumpets, Crumpets, Crumpets!

Sourdough farming requires weekly maintenance. As I was thinking about what to do with the "discarded" sourdough, I came across a recipe for donuts. Quick and easy to mix up and cook in my pan, they seemed like a great way to solve the problem. These rings make the process easier. They absorb oil easily and are just as easy to clean afterwards. My boys have a new weekly treat. Krumpets, anyone?

Pros
  • Great for me

Useful but poor quality

Glad I have rings to make my English cupcakes. I bought 12 pieces. Unfortunately 3 of them fell apart after a short time. Now I have to make two batches of muffins. I read some of the other reviews that complained about the sticking. I rub the insides with oil and that seems to be enough to avoid sticking. While useful, I would not recommend this product based on the manufacturing. (More attention to putting the ends together would make a difference.)

  • Sequins
Cons
  • Embarrassing

NOT 3.75 inches in diameter

It is NOT 3.75 inches in diameter. Even though it says so on the packaging. They are the same diameter as my rings advertised as 3.5 inches. I measured them and they are 3.5 inches, maybe 3 33/64 inches. For the metric system they are 9.05 cm and are less durable than my other rings. Yes they are rings and they are 1 inch high. Since this measurement is as claimed, it appears someone can measure it. Whether mislabelling is bad marketing or incompetence is a question for the ages. Revain had no…

Perfect English Muffins

They're a bit fragile but seem to hold up well over time. I think they need special care in storage because they deform easily. Other than that they are exactly what I need; Diameter and height are perfect. They stick, but I found a remedy: first grease the rings, and then lightly "sprinkle" them with cornmeal; Just don't make the cornmeal too strong or they will slip out when flipped. Overall this is a great value as English muffins are a bit pricey at the grocery store but can be made at home

Pros
  • High marks for hold and shelf life from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Versatile - not just for cupcakes!

The rings arrived well, in a box within the box that protected them. They're thin and light, which means they're easy to bend, but also easy to bend and shape. The box includes a recipe for muffins and crumpets, which I found to be an added bonus. Haven't used them on cupcakes yet, but they worked really well on the crumpets. I used Vendil Nissen's recipe, which you can find online. Remember to butter them well and warm them up in the preheated pan for a few seconds before adding the batter…

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • A bit of variety
