Buy this if you only need it a few times!

Perfect size, just one problem. after washing twice in the dishwasher, the markings on the side are erased. So I washed one manually with this AM - and then the numbers are just erased. It will be a useless mini jar after a few uses. Don't waste money!

Pros
  • practical thing

  • There are other interesting options.

Inaccurate in Kitchen Utensils and Appliances

Not very accurate. There was a recipe with ml for water. Everything went wrong, so I checked this measure when I came back. 100ml of water weighs 100 grams. This glass came in at 86 grams. 1 tablespoon tested with 3 different sets of spoons. This jar was 1.5 tablespoons with all three. Tried 2 oz with 2 measuring cups. 2 ounces in this article was 2.5 ounces. For my way of cooking, that's a small glass. I hope Revane takes it back.

Measures inaccurately.

I purchased this product after using a friend's similar gauge to make bottle feeding. I immediately noticed that the bottle filled less than when I used my friend's measure. So we experimented with a 10ml syringe and filled each jar to see which (if any) was correct. My friend measured the stain at 4 oz and this product was 10ml under the same 4 oz mark. 😕 Very disappointed when the main purpose of the product - measurement - cannot be trusted.

Manufacturing process changed for the worse

Original review: I use it almost every time I cook. Bought a bundle as a gift. The sizes are correct (I checked). Update: I unfortunately crashed the first one I had, bought an extra one. The markings came off within a week, rendering the jar unusable. That didn't happen to the original, so some of these are either fakes or the new ones are worse. EDIT: Get Anchor Hocking instead; this is infinitely better: https://www.amazon.com/Anchor-Hocking-5-Ounce-Measuring-Glass/dp/B001QYAGO4/

Extremely inaccurate - do not buy

I ordered this hoping it would be accurate enough but it's nowhere near. For example, we know that 1 ounce = 29.574 ml. That means the 1oz mark and 30ml mark should be almost identical, and yet the 1oz mark is about halfway between 30 and 40ml, so around 35ml. For what I do, these 17% incorrect measurements produce an uncertain end product. I stopped there and did not test and compare other measurements. I have used 2 other medical dispensers, first to compare them to each other and then to…

Wonderful measuring cup NOT made in Mainland China

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this jar is from Taiwan - Republic of China. Although this glass is not made in the USA, I find this glass perfect for ingesting 3 ounces of Nopalea® (health drink). This item was exceptional quality and durable heavy glass. Measurement lines are given in both ml (milliliters), ounces (ounces) and tablespoons. The marking is very clear in black ink. Although I've only had it for a short time, it makes a well-made and durable impression. Update: DO NOT…

Inaccurate in kitchen and dining room

I bought two, each for a specific purpose. I will measure liquids not intended for human consumption ie 2-stroke engine oils and hydraulic fluid. (The item description even says it was used in a non-food liquid garage) I checked the measurement markings with a mug and found that they were both inaccurate. Scale. If you use them for the kitchen and/or cooking I assume they will work just fine. However, if you need more accurate proportions, they may not meet your needs. Note: If I had read the…

Graduations are not easy to read

I bought this measuring cup to mix nutrients for my indoor garden. I have a 35+ gallon reservoir tank and mix about 6-8 different nutrients in varying amounts that I measure in milliliters. I have a large flask to measure volumes over 60mL, but I need something smaller to handle volumes from 20mL to 60mL. This one works well, but the way it's tiered and labeled leaves a lot to be desired. The numbers don't match the gradations, and there are no half notes. So for example there is a 20ml and a…
