Not suitable for thin loose leaf tea

Got this for my husband for brewing loose leaf tea and it's not good for the job. The network is too big; The material falls easily into the water instead of staying in the ball. However, ours remains closed and the stuff is fine - it's just not perfect for what we need.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • too boring

love to cook you need it!

This is a long-awaited tool in my kitchen! As a retired chef, I often use spice mixes in my cooking, and it's far better than a piece of burlap flour. But until you get used to it, locking the ball together can be a little tricky. It reminded me that I had just bought loose tea from a trendy tea shop!

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Cheap quality and inefficiency.

Very poor quality tea ball. The mesh and framing are of very poor quality. If we could see it before we bought it, we wouldn't buy it. Not worth the time, hassle or expense of returning it. Used once and there are tea leaves in the teapot. It would be possible to do without a tea ball at all. We cannot recommend this.

Disgusting product! suitable for kitchen and dining room

This tea ball is terrible. It doesn't stay closed, making it useless. You can spin from the top, but it pops up immediately. I'm not sure if this is just bad design or a defective product. I tried to return it but the seller, MV Trading Company, told me to contact the manufacturer with my complaint; alone they cannot help me. Seriously, terrible customer service. I will NEVER buy anything from MV Trading Company again and I strongly encourage you to look for a teaball from another company. I…

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Ok for the most part, but...

I used it the first time using the slow cooker - there was a bunch of peppers and a bay leaf in the ball of spices. There was more than enough room to add more spices if the recipe called for it. I only made meals for two so the top was sticking out above the ingredients and liquid but at least the spices were well soaked. It stayed closed the entire time, which is great, but sometimes the hook wouldn't stay on the hook and often fell into the soup - it's just that there's nothing small enough…

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

Bought 2, the mesh sleeve came loose after a use or two.

They're a good size (halfway between a ping pong ball and a baseball in the palm of your hand) and can take a beating. The hook is great too. I use them with dried mint and a lot of the smaller pieces fall out, although the mesh is quite thin, I'm not sure they could make it any thinner and still allow for good circulation. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it changes shape after one use (in iced tea, and my single uses last several hours at a time). It's fully functional again…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Not an assault rifle
