Great kettle at Dining & Entertainment

Like other reviewers I was looking for a blue Betty kettle but was put off by the negative reviews. I came across this teapot and to be honest I actually prefer the blue color and shape better. Arrived quickly by post despite standard shipping. I am very happy with this kettle so far.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged

As advertised but arrived scratched

My new teapot is exactly what it was meant to be: a durable ceramic teapot big enough to brew multiple cups of tea at once. The production seems fine. The kettle is a good weight and the ceramic is thick enough that I'm not worried about the kettle getting a little dent from everyday use. Mine arrived with a few small surface scratches but these aren't bad enough to warrant returning the kettle which is otherwise perfectly usable. One star deducted for scratches.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Mediocre kettle, disappointing at best

I don't usually like giving bad reviews so I decided to give this kettle three stars instead of two. In short, I'm disappointed. I was looking for a special kind of teapot, the brown Betty, which is made of red clay and keeps the tea hot. This clay teapot is much thinner than a regular brown Betty, so the tea cools too quickly for my liking. I have other issues with this: if you try to pour tea while it's *hot*, you risk burning your knuckles on the body of the kettle; the handle of the teapot…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poor instructions
