Broke on the fly

I bought 3 of these packaging a few months ago. They heat up well in the microwave, but then accidentally break for no apparent reason. My friend left a plate in the sink and heard it break an hour after it was last used. On the second toast today was a piece of PB toast and it broke 20 minutes after I ate. Just sat there. Super strange but do not recommend this product. It seems to contradict the laws of thermodynamics

Dangerous.3 for 3 EXPLODES in the kitchen.

Plate 1 was placed in the sink after dinner and shortly thereafter exploded. I heard a distinct noise and didn't understand what had happened. Later I found 7 large pieces and 20 small fragments with cracks. Platter 2 was lying on the counter with a knife across two edges. I left and when I came back I happened to see the plate explode in the same way. I suspect that the surface tension was too high at the curved edges. Love these plates in Serving ware, trays and plates

I use these for heating in the microwave. I got rid of plastic storage years ago and have always avoided using any kind of plastic for the microwave - I even take frozen food out of the packaging at the store and place it in a glass jar before microwave. I don't want to use stoneware either, as the water vapor will eventually penetrate the microscopic cracks that form in the glaze over time and ruin my good crockery.
