Great device. So easy to dress my brother.

Great gadget. So easy to attach to my Brother sewing machine. There is absolutely nothing complicated about this side cutter. I can't afford an overlock just yet, but this is a great replacement.

It works well for sewing machine parts and accessories

This snap-on sewing foot with side cutters worked, which means I first cut the fabric and then threaded the foot. This created a zigzag edge, but the cut was uneven. It could have been a lighter fabric I sewed resulting in an unsightly edge. Leveling the edge with scissors wasn't much of a problem, but I didn't have to. This sewing foot is also a lot cheaper than buying an overlock! I'll have to try it on different fabric weights before updating my review.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Basically good, but...

He kept bouncing up and down making a TERRIBLE bang.

Used for stitching. The wire cutter kept bouncing up and down making a TERRIBLE bang. And for those interested. I know for sure it wasn't the needle that knocked. Believe me. Likewise. Fabric is not cut.

Pros
  • Compact design, affordable price, precise cut.
Cons
  • No instructions

100% Satisfaction - Works as described.

Works as advertised and easier to use as it snaps into place compared to another model which requires you to remove a screw to use. my first try. I've used it twice with the same results and found it very easy. Cheaper than a serger and worth the money.

Pros
  • You can cut off any part of the fabric as you sew.
Cons
  • Not sure

The foot binds a blade that is not sharp enough

I really wanted this to work. I have the same foot but not in the zipper. Bought to save time but doesn't work nearly as well. It is bound and you must stop the machine and remove the presser foot to remove the fabric. Either the blade is not sharp enough or there is not enough clearance between it and the plate. I've tried it on spandex and it works in very low light, but it doesn't work in anything else. My other leg will go through the seam sewn earlier, not this one.

Pros
  • Easy attachment to the machine by snapping on the shaft, does not block the view of the needle.
Cons
  • Unfashionable
