💡 Fractal Design Ion SFX 650G - UltraFlex DC Wires, Silent Fan, 80 Plus Gold Certified Full Modular SFX-L Power Supply - 650W, Zero RPM Mode - Black Review

Bought to upgrade my home server. Started a 6 drive RAID 5 setup and wanted something that would perform well, fit in my small case, but not be too noisy. The SFX650G did an excellent job of that. Also, despite the small form factor, it has modular cables so I only installed what I needed. Would definitely consider buying another for my next computer build.

Product arrived in perfect condition, bought because I was moving my system to an ITX case. This has been a great PSU so far, the full modularity ensures I only use the cables I need and the flexibility is good enough to fit everything into my new tiny space as much as possible. The volume is great, the only thing I hear is the GPU even under full load. 10/10

I have had many power supplies over the years and I have to say this is my favorite. I like the sfx form factor as well as its performance. It is fully modular and simplifies wiring. For the price I would say this power supply is worth the money.

Very good power supply. It was pretty easy to install, runs very quiet and gets the job done. The cables are also very high quality and easy to lay. Also clearly marked.

I put together a computer and hesitated between a cheaper AT or SFX power supply. This smaller power supply is reasonably priced and the extra space inside the case has saved a lot of wiring time. It also comes with an attractive pouch for storing unwanted cords, which is a nice touch.

ATX cable does not go to PSU on Fractal Define 71star because everything else is compatible but they have each other decided to make one ATX cable 1 inch shorter than necessary.

This baby runs an overclocked i9 10900k, 2080ti, 16GB RAM, x2 2.5 SSD, x2 NVME SSD, 4 case fans and a 280mm CPU, no even to break a sweat. You're going fractal!

The assembly of this power supply is OK. It doesn't fit in the Fractal Node 202 case. I don't understand why Fractal makes an SFX power supply that doesn't fit in their case. The angle of the power connector in the chassis requires the following when the exhaust fan is facing down: A.) The power inlet is on the left side of the PSU with the flat part down. ORB.) The power input was on the right side of the PSU. I can't find on the internet where anyone would specifically name this…
