I received the lamp yesterday. I didn't put a lightbulb in it until about 2 hours ago when it was delivered to me. The heat from the lightbulb caused the fringes to fall off, showing that the fringes are literally helping the double-sided tape stick. What a rip off. If I wanted an arts and crafts style lampshade, I would make it myself. better. You could have at least used hot glue. I could show some respect for that, but for over $50 I expect this item to last more than a day.

Saw this lamp in a department store for a much higher price. I should have had it! I found him here straight away and gave myself a pat on the back! Unfortunately, this is only a "exhibition lamp". You really shouldn't stick a light bulb in and use a lamp because if you do, the glue (yes, glue) that's supposed to be holding the fringes will melt in about 15 minutes. Don't get me wrong I LOVE this lamp...but I understand why it gets such bad reviews. The fringes will definitely start to melt if the lamp stays on. Probably badly glued with hot glue? Luckily I'm a smart girl and supergluing the fringes was a lot easier than I expected. Three layers of fringes are sewn together in strips. With a little care, you can easily reattach them to the lampshade when they start falling off. It's a pain but I love the aesthetic of this lamp so it's worth it. It gives…
